AfricanLII supports the development of sustainable, free and open access to the law in Africa

AfricanLII is a project of the faculty of public law at the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

>> We convene a community of practice for publishers of free legal information throughout Africa, in all its forms. We provide technical and programmatic support, carry out advocacy and policy research, and coordinate collaborative activities.

>> We capacitate governments to design and implement free access to law portals, providing strategic advice and direct technical assistance throughout a structured collaborative process.

>> We host a comprehensive and authoritative legal research platform of African Union and REC regional law and policy as well as comparative African national law.
